Hi Darlings! I’ve been making and sewing a lot of things lately and I wanted to highlight some of my new projects! This post is all about my Thanksgiving Day outfit.
The Project – NETTIE BODYSUIT
Behold the nettie bodysuit…
If you are an avid sewer or just into sewing as a hobby then you should have heard of the nettie pattern written by Heather Lou of Closet Case Files. She really really has the best patterns I’ve ever used as they are easy to understand and on top of the instructions that are included in the pattern, she has a sew-a-long for all her patterns. Makes it even EASIER to complete.
Her pattern includes different necklines and back options however I scratched all of that to create a turtle neck version.
I kind of free-styled my turtle neck but it turned out great! I used a bamboo stretch knit and when I say soft….It’s the softest stretchiest fabric I’ve ever worked with and I’m in love. I purchased from Mood NYC by literally feeling every single bolt of knit fabric in the place. But you can purchase a comprable fabric here.
I paired my nettie with overalls I picked up at Zara during their semi annual sale and my Christian Louboutin black patent leather pumps. I wore this to Thanksgiving this year and could not have been more comfortable….(accept for the shoes of course lol!).
All Jewelry is also handmade. You can check some pieces I have for sale here.
Have you made a nettie bodysuit? If so, did you do any hacks to the pattern?
