Hi Dolls! As you know I have recently launched a podcast with my friend Arlin aka LinDub from linwillfallingdown.wordpress.com where we talk about life in the city, womanhood, going after your dreams and all things in between. We have already recorded two episodes and we’re dropping the next episode this weekend! Be sure to check it out as every week we feature an amazing woman who is just really killing it! This week’s feature is Tracee Ellis Ross who is just everything!! Love her!
In addition to co-hosting the Currently unFamous podcast with Arlin I have also started my own podcast. Woohoo!! This is my baby and I have really been researching and figuring out the direction I wanted my podcast to go.
Last week I wrote a post about my why. In that post I discussed the purpose and the reason I do what I do and share what I do on my blog. I feel so deeply and passionate about this cause, I thought the better way to share my passion of encouraging women to go after their creative dreams would be to interview those that have done just that. I want to teach women how to go after their dreams. The pitfalls they may run into. The intangible things that only those that have actually gone through it can tell you.
I’ve conducted my first few interviews and let me tell you, it’s powerful stuff! These women are on top of their game and the feeling I get when I interview them is pure fulfillment. I want my listeners and readers to feel the same in whatever creative journey they choose. I want everyone to know this type of fulfillment is possible and I am just a conduit to share and spread information on how you can feel the same.
To celebrate the launch of my Bigger Dreams Podcast I recently had a brunch with some of my girlfriends who are pursuing their dreams. It was a huge hit. I mean who doesn’t like good ‘ol girl talk! We discussed what we’ve gone through working a 9-5 and pursuing our dreams on the side, leaving corporate life to pursue our dreams and so much more. We also recorded a short vid discussing what Big Hair Bigger Dreams means to us which was the initial motivation for my podcast.
I’ll be posting at least two of my interviews very soon so please check back. You don’t want to miss this!
Also, don’t forget to check Currently unFamous, the podcast I am cohosting with my good friend Arlin. And follow us on Twitter at @C_unFamous. It’ll give you some encouragement and hopefully a good laugh!
